Joy Ramme, MS, LPC

My name is Joy Ramme, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Wisconsin. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UW Whitewater, which I completed in 2020. With seven years of experience in the mental health field, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my practice.

Throughout my career, I have worked in various settings, including Waukesha Memorial Hospital as a Therapist II in the Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit for adults. I also served as a Case Manager for a Community Support Program for adults at Journey Mental Health Center. During my time at Meta House, I interned at a Residential Dual Diagnosis facility, specializing in co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders (AODA/MH). Additionally, I worked as an intake specialist for the Admissions Department at Rogers Behavioral Health, serving individuals of all ages.

In my practice, I prioritize building a strong therapeutic alliance in a safe and supportive environment. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is essential for growth and healing. My therapeutic approach draws from various evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-focused therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Narrative therapy. I tailor my approach to meet your specific needs and goals, ensuring that our work together is effective and meaningful.

I specialize in working with adults and am new to working with adolescents aged 13 and above. My areas of expertise encompass general behavioral health concerns such as depression, anxiety, career-related issues, and substance use disorders (AODA).

I am excited to embark on this therapeutic journey with you, and I look forward to providing you with support and guidance. Together, we will explore your unique experiences and challenges, working towards personal growth and well-being.
