Hello! My name is Katalina, but you can call me Kat! I am a student intern at Lighthouse Counseling Services. Currently, I am completing my Master’s degree in Counselor Education at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where I am working toward becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor. In 2019, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

I am passionate about working with couples, families, adults, and young adults who are seeking support with relationship and attachment concerns, life transitions, grief, trauma, identity and sociocultural experiences, career explorations and concerns, postpartum and women’s mental health, sexuality, and anxiety.

I work with clients through a relational-cultural and systemic lens, recognizing the complexity of human relationships and how the interactions with them can impact our experiences, emotions, and sense of self.

I bring humor, empathy, and a direct approach to our work together. I believe some of the most meaningful and transformative changes can happen when there is a trusting and authentic therapeutic connection that allows you to explore the deeper parts of yourself, and my goal is to provide you with a safe space for that.
