Lauren Miller, MS, LPC-IT

I’m so happy that you’re here! My name is Lauren Miller, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor - In Training (LPC-IT) at Lighthouse Counseling Services.

Everyone is capable of change, but finding the right support is a crucial first step. As your counselor, I will seek to support you in your personal growth and to create a safe space where you feel comfortable expressing yourself. On this journey of growth, we will work together to help achieve your goals, solve any problems that are brought into the session, and help you reach the best version of yourself.

I utilize a blended approach that allows me to tailor each session to your individual needs.

Following the idea that the client knows themselves best and everyone is capable of personal growth, I use a Person-Centered approach. I approach each client with respect, bring empathy into each session, and strive to provide a non-judgmental space that you feel safe in. In addition to Person-Centered, I also use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy techniques to help clients identify current thought patterns and help develop new coping strategies to deal with life stressors. The combination of these approaches allows clients to maximize their self-worth and gives them tools to increase confidence by improving problem-solving skills.

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2022, where I majored in Psychology and minored in Health, Family, and Disability Studies. I earned my Master of Science in Professional Counseling, emphasizing in Clinical Mental Health, from Mount Mary University in May 2025. My internship was completed at Schneider Counseling and Consultation. I am passionate about treating adults with depression, anxiety, pre-/post natal issues, self-esteem issues, burnout, trauma, and life transitions.
