My name is Brittany Hablewitz and I have a master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater as of May 2018. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor In-Training. I am also currently a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), and am completing my post-graduation training hours under the supervision of Jeff Ferguson at Lighthouse Counseling.
I provide adult/child individual therapy as well as family or couples counseling. I am new to the field but so far have helped clients with their depression, anxiety, couple’s/family relationship issues, identity development, stress management, and adjustment and self-esteem issues.
I believe in the importance of examining all aspects of a situation and learning to take on multiple viewpoints to find the best solution. I also believe people are products of the environment they were raised, in as well as their current environment. I work from a family systems perspective, but also utilize tools from other approaches such as strengths based, solution focused, cognitive-behavioral, and narrative therapies.
I enjoy working with people of all ages, races, sexual orientations, gender identities, religions, and cultural backgrounds. I am committed to helping you to discover new things about yourself and work towards your overall well-being, regardless of where you come from. I believe everyone is the expert on their own life and hold the keys to success within themselves and I am here to help them access those keys.
